Tony de Freitas

Tony was born in 1950, with as rumours have it, a pencil behind his ear - for as long as he can remember, he was always drawing. Though he took art seriously throughout his school year, his music took precedence over painting after leaving school. His interest in the guitar as a instrument, took him as teacher and performer all over South Africa.

A few years ago, Toy made the decision to fulfill his promise as a painter and started painting on a full-time basis.
